The new Career and Technical Education Center will be constructed to modernize school infrastructure and enhance learning environments by increasing career and technical programs.
Crews have begun installing exterior sheathing across the CTE Center’s steel frame. With panels going up section by section, what was just structural steel a few weeks ago now reads unmistakably as a building.
Vertical construction has been progressing steadily for the past month, with steel framing and concrete wall sections now fully defining the building’s shape. Crews remain active across the structure each week, keeping momentum strong as the project continues to rise.
SCI Construction has placed the foundation at Areas A.1, A.2, and B.1. Work continues with the installation of grade beams at Area B.6, which will be the next location for foundation placement.
The foundation has been placed at the first area, completing this phase of work. Installation of grade beams is now underway at the next area as SCI Construction advances into the following phase of construction.
The DLR Group design team held a visioning meeting with the School District to discuss options for new furniture, fixture and equipment selections for the new CTE addition, the new Multi-Purpose Facility and the new Natatorium.
